Overview

The Retail Sales Support Manager plays a critical role for senior Retail Sales leadership. This position helps ensure alignment of banking products, sales priorities, performance metrics, pipeline visibility and incentive programs to ensure market leaders and branch teams are equipped with consistent, competitive, and market-leading tools, messaging and offers.

 

The role serves as a central point of coordination between Retail Sales, Marketing, Training and other cross-functional partners to support execution of strategic initiatives and ongoing sales performance management.

 

The Retail Sales Support Manager drives disciplined sales routines, accurate KPI reporting, pipeline transparency and consistent communication to market leaders and branch teams, while supporting initiatives that improve client acquisition, deepen relationships and enhance overall branch sales effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior retail sales management to support the development and execution of the retail sales strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth and deposit objectives.
  • Coordinate product alignment across Retail, Business Banking and Treasury Management to ensure consistent market positioning and integrated client solutions.
  • Identify growth opportunities across deposits, business banking referrals, investment referrals, and other retail product lines.
  • Develop, monitor and deliver sales performance KPIs, dashboards and scorecards to support executive visibility and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee Retail Sales pipeline reporting, including opportunity flow, conversion metrics, and accountability at the sales market and branch levels.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between Sales leadership, Marketing, Operations and Data & Analytics.
  • Ensure consistent sales tools, messaging, and client-facing materials are deployed across markets and branches.
  • Support the design, rollout, and ongoing optimization of sales incentives to reinforce desired behaviors and strategic priorities.
  • Identify gaps in execution, tools, or messaging and recommend enhancements to improve frontline effectiveness and sales productivity.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and internal performance data to make informed strategic recommendations.
  • Support sales campaigns and targeted initiatives intended to drive branch production and client engagement.
  • Partner with product teams to ensure retail banking products and offers are aligned with sales priorities and client needs.
  • Ensure Sales Market Leads and Retail Branch teams have clear, consistent, and up-to-date product information, positioning and talking points.
  • Ensure messaging related to products, promotions, sales priorities, performance expectations, and incentives is consistent across the network.
  • Supervise, train and manage some staff.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial services sales required, with prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, including intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Demonstrated capacity to meet and exceed sales goals and build and lead high-performing client facing teams that drive business results.
  • Strong understanding of retail and business banking sales models, performance management and product delivery.
  • Experience supporting senior sales leadership through analytics, strategy execution, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into practical tools, metrics, and processes for frontline teams.
  • High degree of organizational, analytical, and communication skills with executive level presence.
  • Proven retail banking product knowledge across diverse client segments.
  • In depth knowledge of the competitive banking landscape.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation: $95,000 to $135,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary depending on location, experience, and other factors.
