Overview

Ensures stability and integrity of the Bank's critical data operations while utilizing both technical expertise and technical risk management best practices. Continually recommends modernization and process improvement. Serves as the foundation of our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliability of daily and monthly mission-critical data processes supporting banking operations. 
  • Maintain strict change management and version control for data systems, queries, reports and code. 
  • Develop and enforce data quality controls and monitoring procedures. 
  • Support audit compliance and regulatory reporting requirements. 
  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation and process controls. 
  • Oversee early morning and end-of-day processing windows. 
  • Daily maintenance and support of data warehouses, data lakes, semantic models, and file movement. 
  • Design and tune data pipelines using enterprise scheduling tools. 
  • Will develop into the primary point of contact for the management and support of IBM Cognos Analytics. 
  • Collaborate on division wide data modernization and process improvement initiatives. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent experience required. 
  • Minimum 4 - 7 years of data engineering experience required; general banking and financial services experience preferred. 
  • Project management experience preferred. 
  • MS Office proficiency required.  
  • SQL development and optimization experience required. 
  • ETL and batch processing systems experience required. 
  • IBM Cognos Analytics experience preferred. 
  • Enterprise file management/file transfer systems experience required. 
  • Knowledge of Windows Server environments required. 
  • Microsoft 365/Azure experience required. 
  • Experience with change management required. 
  • Core banking system experience (such as Fiserv Premier) preferred. 
  • Snowflake experience preferred. 
  • Microsoft Power BI/Fabric experience preferred 
  • Enterprise data integration systems (such as Microsoft Data Factory) preferred 
  • Microsoft Power Platform experience preferred. 
  • Unisys Enterprise Output Manager experience preferred. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. 
  • Strong risk management mindset. 
  •
